Description

To the p5.js community, “contributing” means many different things including teaching, documentation, writing code, making art, writing, design, activism, curating, bug reporting, organizing, and more. We seek to erase the line between user and contributor, and expand the definitions of both as far and wide as possible. Diverse perspectives come together to make a tool that enables many different people to express themselves creatively. The following contributions are manifestations of p5.js through art, code, community events, workshops, educational programs, publications, and more.

Content from the community is accompanied by essays by Casey REAS, Aren Davey, Luis Morales-Navarro, Taeyoon Choi, Dorothy Santos, Claire Kearney-Volpe, Olivia Ross, Xin Xin, Stalgia Grigg, Aarón Montoya-Moraga, and Johanna Hedva. Accompanying illustrations by Alice M. Chung. The zine was designed by Stefanie Tam. Jesse Cahn Thompson, Karina Lopez, and Lauren Lee McCarthy contributed to the editing.

The p5.js 1.0 Contributors Zine commemorates the 1.0 release and the contributors that were a part of it. It is a limited edition of 200.
